While the bathroom tends to be one of the smaller rooms in the home who says that because of that we can’t decorate or that it is difficult to? Now when it comes to selecting a colour for your bathroom remember white is great and will make the space look bigger so it is a good idea to stay away from dark shades as they will make your already small room look tiny. White is also a good canvas if you ware wanting a versatile base. When selecting white also don’t forget that sometimes all white bathrooms can look clinical. To revamp a bathroom is easy just change a few different accents this could include rugs, towels, wall paper and even small decor pieces like greenery. I have included four main key points to having a functioning and trending bathroom.
Instead of filling you cabinets with loads of towels why not showcase these playful colours? Floating shelves are a favourite of mine and you can just add your storage items in a neat stylish way. Another great storage item are shelf ladders they look super fabulous and add character to your bathroom as well as doubling as storage.
It Needs To Be Functional
Functionality is super important when it comes to bathrooms. With them being so small they need to have everything organised and practical so you can avoid clutter and unnecessary stuff around. Don’t add things that don’t have a purpose.
– Storing personal products so you have more counter space
– Stackable baskets are a great ideas for storage which are perfect for underneath cabinets or above washers or dryer
– Store cotton balls and swabs in glass jars on floating shelves.
Using neutral shades for your bathroom has an era of calmness and is aesthetically pleasing. Also remember to add textures and patterns to neutral colours to create depth.
Add Pops Of Colour
As I stated in the first paragraph of this blog whites and neutral colours can sometimes be a bit bland so don’t forget to add pops of colours. These pops of colour can come in forms of towels, rugs, plants, soaps, mirrors and even robes.
This is a space that needs to be functional to you so you decide what is good for you and let your bathroom scream your style and personality.
